We had a great turn out for the final members meeting on Saturday. Many thanks to the twenty or so folk who came along to check on the bees, clean and sort the equipment and help to prepare for the arrival of our new cabin.
No surface was left un-brushed … by the end of the afternoon we had made and cleared a lot of mess!
The demolition team decided to take down both the large and middle sheds to clear the site. With so many willing hands they made relatively short work of the task. By the end of the afternoon we were all feeling very satisfied that the jobs had all been completed safely.
It was an action packed end to what has been a super season at our Apiary. Many thanks to the Apiary Management Committee whose enthusiasm and care has ensured the bees have thrived. We have enjoyed good levels of interest and support from our members. The good quantity of honey produced and sold so far this year has helped to fund the new cabin.
The bees took no notice of the noise and commotion going on … far too busy going about their own business!
Now we are ready to take delivery of our new super sized cabin … watch this space … it should be arriving later this month.
