Frame making and Chip Supper evening

Thank you to everyone who came along to join our frame making evening … a brilliant way to get equipment prepared for the new season!

The fish and chip supper worked well and by the end of the evening we had a good stock of frames and supers ready for action.

New Beekeepers visit the Apiary

Having completed the theory part of the course our student beekeepers have now moved on the gain practical experience in the apiary.

Although the weather was too cold for full inspections there were still plenty of jobs to do.

Cleaning and sterilising equipment, learning how to light a smoker … and keep it going!
